25 years of P I R O M A N

'Sweat Songs' is out again:

1999 was a good year too - the second PIROMAN record came out on fragmentz records/Frankfurt. Definitely underground (250 copies i think), but the trip to Mrs. Brüggemann's cutting studio by S-Bahn with the DAT tape in the luggage was legendary. After she had cut the first side, she said it was all mono...!! Nothing against mono, but Piro had worked on some stereo elements. I broke out in a sweat and immediately went back home to re-record the DAT - where I realized that everything was fine. Back at the cutting studio, I got a little apology from the lady of the house (something was plugged in wrong) and the lacquer plate as a souvenir... 25 years later there is now a small reissue by Outside In Distribution from Barcelona, which sounds just as rough and good as the old edition...
